Edvard Munch
The moonlight glides across your face
which contains all the beauty
and pain of this earthly kingdom
your lips are like two ruby red …..
and as blood-filled as that
carmine-red fruit
they glide apart as if in pain –
a kind of smile –
the chain that binds generation
to generation is now tied –
like a body it slipped …
out upon a great ocean – born upon long
waves which
change colour from deep violet to
blood red.
